The Taiwan Embassy in St. Vincent participated for the first time in the island Christmas Carolling competition.
HE Amb. Fiona Huei-Chun Fan with her team and family joined the SVG traditional 9 Nights celebration—Christmas Carolling—for the first time ever on December 19, 023, at the Russell’s Auditorium.
“In appreciation of the continued support of Vincentian friends throughout the year, all of us at the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) are ready to fill the air with the spirit of the season,” Fan told a cheering audience.
Ambassador Fan said that the Christmas carolling is a testament to the unity that music brings, transcending borders and cultures.
“Let’s celebrate the universal language of joy and harmony,” she told the gathering.
After a considerable absence, Carolling, the much-anticipated event on the Christmas Season Calendar of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, made its comeback during the Nine Nights of Lights event in 2022.
The event, which is hosted by the National Parks, Rivers, and Beaches Authority in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, is celebrated under the theme “Spirits Lifted.”.
