$36.7 million of 2023 capital budget for healthcare

The government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines has set aside $36.7 million, or 7.8 percent of the capital budget for 2023, to further improve the state’s healthcare and sustainable environmental services.

The health sector will experience a number of interventions through initiatives designed to upgrade and renovate buildings as well as buy equipment to provide better and more extensive services.

 Some of the more significant projects include:

Upgrade of Health Facilities Phase II $1.0 m

Refurbishment of MCM  $1.5 m

Purchase of Hyperbaric Oxygen Machine  $1.0 m

Strengthening Health System Resilience Project $15.0 m

COVID-19 Response Programme $8.0 m

Modern Medical Complex $0.9 m
