The UK will deploy four police officers to Anguilla to increase personnel and “provide specific technical expertise” in the crime war.
Governor Julia Crouch stated that the officers would be deployed for four months.
At a media briefing on October 8, Crouch and Commissioner of Police Robert Clark discussed adding UK police personnel after the murder of 14-year-old Shaquan Richardson.
A gunman shot Richardson and another teen boy in James Ronald Webster Park.
Crouch said three officers would be sent “to enhance capability and capacity, including on current investigations”.
A fourth officer will provide technical analysis to the Royal Anguilla Police Force.
The cops should be in Anguilla by Oct. 31.
