Leader of the Unity Labour Party Ralph Gonsalves has mocked the New Democratic Party’s hope rally which was in Georgetown on Saturday, May 13.
While the NDP speakers argued nothing was occurring in the health sector, Gonsalves noted on NBC radio on Wednesday that they were just seconds away from the Modern Medical and Diagnostic Centre, a huge investment in health care in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
“The NDP speakers were speaking as they stood near the over $100 million investment in the Modern Medical Diagnostic Center, Georgetown Smart Hospital, and the recently opened Smart Clinic.”
“Could you go to Georgetown with a rally and say nothing is happening in health when people from all over St. Vincent and the Grenadines are going up there for dialysis services?”
“People are leaving Barbados to come to Modern Medical for colonoscopies.” the Prime Minister stated.
“They called it a rally with the theme of hope,” Gonsalves remarked. I wrote an entire book about it. Do you mean they merely duplicated the thing? They merely want ideas like those from thieves?”
Gonsalves came to the conclusion that the opposition party has simply run out of fresh ideas.
