Unstable conditions associated with a tropical wave is currently affecting St Vincent and the Grenadines and other South Caribbean islands.
The SVG Met Service, in its midday weather update, says periods of rain and pockets of moderate showers are expected to continue this afternoon.
Shower activity could increase this evening, with gusty conditions near moderate/occasionally heavy showers and isolated thunderstorm activity.
Residents and motorists should exercise caution in areas with rain-soaked ash and be alert near rivers and streams.
