A Vincentian who has been denied bail is among a trio caught up in one of the latest marijuana raids in recent weeks by Grenada police.
Kester La Barrie was arrested last week, along with the Vincentian national, McLean Brown and a third man, Gregory Joseph.
According to police, the suspects were intercepted in the Black Forest area, and a search of the two vehicles they were using turned up 658 pounds of marijuana, packaged in plastic wrapping.
The three have been charged with Conspiracy to traffic in a controlled drug, Importing a controlled drug and trafficking a controlled drug.
The Vincentian faces an additional charge for entering the country illegally.
The two Grenadians have been granted bail in the amount of $250, 000.00 with two sureties each.
