“As I understand from Glen Beache head of the Tourism Authority, CAL is ready for the Trinidad- St Vincent –New York route, and that begins immediately following the green light from the US Department of Transportation”.
Gonsalves on Thursday 21st December said everything is cleared with TSA, St Vincent and CAL, however, since it is a new route the approval must come from the United States DOT.
“We are hoping that everything would be ready for the New Year, sometime in the second half of January 2018”.
CAL currently operate flights out of Trinidad into St Vincent using its ATR planes and on Thursday using its Boeing 737 – 800 aircraft in and out of SVG on its way back to JFK.
CAL first flight in SVG was on February 14th, 2017 at the Official opening of the AIA, with a charter from New York.
