- Minister James set for Global Tourism Conference
Carlos James, St Vincent’s Minister of Tourism, will make a keynote talk to worldwide sales professionals at the Annual Sandals Global Sales Convention on Friday, January 5, 2024, in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.
The Sandals Global Sales meeting is intended to bring together the Sandals sales team’s foreign divisions, including North America, the United Kingdom, and Europe.
Minister James will advocate for increased support for the island’s tourist product offering in an effort to increase bookings to the multi-island destination among worldwide sales executives.
The first visitors will arrive at Sandals Resorts International’s (SRI) newest all-inclusive resort in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines on March 27, 2024. The new resort, set against a rainforest setting between mountains and the sea, is now open for reservations, with direct flights to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines from London Heathrow, Miami International, New York JFK, and Toronto Pearson International.
The resort will include 301 rooms and will have two-story overwater villas, meandering rivers, and other “Sandals Firsts.”
“Everyone’s attention is focused on St Vincent and the Grenadines as an emerging tourism destination.” “I am pleased that our tourism development is taking shape in a sustainable manner,” Minister James stated.
On Sunday, Minister James will return to the state.
