St. Vincent police officer Kyle Nimblet has been charged with the attempted murder of ex-girlfriend Raffia Sardine in Villa.
Police on Monday confirmed that the accused remains in lawful custody, directly countering public speculation about a potential release.
The charges arise from an incident on Saturday, 6th September, in which Nimblet allegedly stabbed Sardine over 20 times.
Nimblet is expected to head to court later today.
