FOCUS Entertainment INC. presents their first event for the year; E.P.O.S Grand Slam 2020. This event comes on the heels of the company providing acting talents for Steel Expressions 2019, Where Music Lives. Ms. Nisha Hope, the CEO and co-founder of FOCUS Entertainment INC. intends to build on the successes of our Poetry Slam Competition in 2013 and is pleased to bring to Vincentian poetry enthusiasts, E.P.O.S. Grand Slam.

On Saturday 25th January the SOV Restaurant and Club hosts the live auditions of the competition, where Every Poet Oughta Slam. The competition will commence on February 8th and culminate on World Poetry Day; March 21st.

FOCUS Entertainment INC, a Limited Liability Company, is an independent producer of live entertainment and a talent management company. The company is assembled from creative and business entertainment industry professionals with a mandate to produce quality productions. As such, we are committed to showcasing other professional acts within the industry as part of our live entertainment package.

To this end, the aim is to find, nurture and promote undiscovered Vincentian artists through the spoken word. E.P.O.S. aims to garner a collection of original works of poets nationwide. This is in an effort to address social issues that warrant discussion and further impress upon not only our very own citizenry, but the Caribbean at large.

Each week Poets are responsible for creating original pieces from a theme given to them, one week in advance. They will accept mentorship to assist with the performance aspect and commit to memory their poem then perform it to a live audience. However, as it is a competition, there will be eliminations every other week starting from February 8th until March 21 st. To increase support for the poets and document their development along with course of the competition, we are partnering with Vincyflix online platform for recording and broadcasting of the event.

The broadcast will be available live for non-locals then pre-recorded for subsequent showing and used as an opportunity to bring patrons out to the live shows, while soliciting persons to vote for their favourite performer.
