Marcus ‘Mosiah’ Garvey short film screened in St Vincent – SVG

Vincentians will have the opportunity on Saturday, October 19, 2024, to view a screening of Mosiah, the latest acclaimed documentary on the life, legacy, and times of Marcus ‘Mosiah’ Garvey.

The screening will take place at the UWI Global Campus in Kingstown St. Vincent and the Grenadines in collaboration with SVG Solidarity.

The event will begin with a brief introduction from Stephen Golding, President of the Jamaica UNIA, a Garvey scholar and researcher who previously produced a documentary on Garvey’s influence in establishing August 31 as the International Day for People of African Descent, recognized by the United Nations in 2022.

Having already premiered in the USA and Jamaica, the Mosiah documentary is being shown in St Vincent on the anniversary of Garvey’s historic visit to the island in 1936.
