Preliminary Inquiry Into The Death Of Billy Adams Begins November 7th

A Preliminary Inquiry which will look into the circumstances that cause the death of 33 years old Billy Adams of Layou is to commence on November 7th, 2018 at the Serious Offences Court.

The date was given by Chief Magistrate Rechanne Browne on Thursday, August 2nd, 2018 when Joel King a 20-year-old labourer also of Layou appeared before her on a charge of causing the death of Adams.

When Kings first appeared at the Kingstown Magistrate Court before Senior Magistrate Rickie Burnett facing the charge which was laid indictable the Prosecution made an application to have the matter adjourned and transferred to have a date set for the Preliminary Inquiry.

Adams according to reports while hanging out with friends at a shop in Layou received several gun-shot wounds to his body which resulted in his death.
